French fries

Homemade French fries are crispy on the outside, fluffy on the inside, and far better than frozen fries. With the right method, you can get that classic golden crunch everyone loves.

🧺 Ingredients

  • 4 large potatoes
  • Oil for frying
  • Salt (to taste)

Optional seasoning:

  • Paprika
  • Garlic powder
  • Black pepper
  • Parmesan

🍳 Instructions

  1. Peel & cut
Peel potatoes if desired, then cut into fry-shaped strips.
  2. Soak
Place fries in cold water for 30 minutes (removes starch for better crispiness).
  3. Dry well
    Drain and pat completely dry.
  4. First fry
Heat oil to medium (about 160°C / 320°F). Fry potatoes for 4–5 minutes until soft but pale. Remove and drain.

  6. Season
    Sprinkle salt immediately after frying.

💡 Tips for Perfect Fries
