Ingredients
1½ cups all-purpose flour
1/4 cup sugar
2 teaspoons baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon cinnamon
2/3 cup milk
2 eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 tablespoon melted butter
1 cup fresh blackberries
Oil for frying
For the Glaze
1 cup powdered sugar
2 tablespoons milk
1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
Instructions
In a large bowl, whisk together flour, sugar, baking powder, salt, and cinnamon.
Add milk, eggs, vanilla extract, and melted butter. Mix until smooth.
Gently fold in the blackberries.
Heat oil in a deep skillet to 350°F.
Drop spoonfuls of batter carefully into the hot oil.
Fry for 2 to 3 minutes, turning occasionally, until golden brown and cooked through.
Remove with a slotted spoon and place on paper towels to drain excess oil.
Mix powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla extract in a small bowl to make the glaze.
Drizzle the glaze over the warm fritters and serve immediately.
