These Twisted Sugar Puff Pastry Rolls are buttery, flaky, crispy, and coated in sweet cinnamon sugar. They’re incredibly easy to make with just a few simple ingredients and come out beautifully golden with delicate caramelized edges. Perfect for breakfast, coffee time, or a quick dessert.

Ingredients

  • 1 sheet puff pastry, thawed
  • 3 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract (optional)
  • Powdered sugar for dusting (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a small bowl, mix sugar and cinnamon together.
  3. Lightly flour your surface and unfold the puff pastry sheet.
  4. Brush the entire pastry with melted butter. Add vanilla extract to the butter if using.
  5. Sprinkle the cinnamon sugar mixture generously over the pastry.
  6. Cut the pastry into strips about 1 inch wide.
  7. Twist each strip several times and place on the prepared baking sheet.
  8. Bake for 15–18 minutes or until puffed and golden brown.
  9. Let cool slightly, then dust with powdered sugar if desired.

Tips

  • Add a drizzle of icing for extra sweetness.
  • You can fill them with chocolate spread or cream cheese before twisting.
  • Best served warm and fresh from the oven.
